Rebecca K.

As I reflect on the incredible experience of our many photo sessions, I find myself filled with profound gratitude for your exceptional talent and unwavering dedication. Your ability to capture not just images but moments of empowerment and self-discovery is truly remarkable. From the moment we began, your expertise and genuine enthusiasm created an atmosphere of comfort and trust, allowing me to embrace vulnerability and authenticity in front of the lens. Your keen eye for detail and creativity turned what could have been a simple photoshoot into a transformative journey of self-appreciation. The way you captured the essence of my strength and beauty goes beyond photography; it's a testament to your skill in bringing out the best in people. Thank you for not just taking pictures but for creating an experience that has left a lasting impact on my self-perception. I am immensely grateful for the artistry and passion you bring to your work.

Backstory:

Three years ago I decided to answer a model call. Getting the phone call that I was accepted was absolutely terrifying. When Debbie called me I paced the floor talking to her for over an hour. Why so long? Because after about 15 minutes of talking to her I felt like I was talking to someone I’ve known for years. She made me so comfortable just talking on the phone for my initial consultation that I couldn’t wait to actually have the session. I was nervous, after losing about 100 pounds, but I really wanted to do something for myself. Funny thing is, I ordered all types of outfits to wear and ended up wearing something out of the closet she provides. I had only had my hair and makeup done once professionally, for a wedding a few years prior. With thinning hair and being picky about how my bangs fall, I was worried  how that would turn out. Turns out it should’ve been the least of my worries. The biggest worry I walked away from the session was….how am I going to fit even more of these photo sessions info my schedule! I, probably like most girls, cried when I saw the pictures during her professional reveal. “Is that really me?” Yes, it was in fact me. It was me that everyone sees. Not the me that I’m so critical of when I look in the mirror. It was the me that was behind Debbie’s camera lens and everyone else sees. Debbie has a way of showing your beauty inside and outside. Sure, the makeup and hair helps to show your outside beauty, but somehow she captures your spirit too. She captures your heart and soul, whether its with your eyes or a smile. It’s absolutely incredible to see the transformation with your own self confidence.

Four sessions later, and I still haven’t done every set she offers yet, but it’s on my bucket list to do. Even 30 pounds heavier from my initial shoot, every session is still amazing. You know why? Because it’s not all about the exterior looks, it’s about your personality, your heart, your smile, your eyes, your mannerisms, she captures every part of YOU.

In the serendipity of life, I crossed paths with a stranger who would soon redefine the meaning of friendship. Initially, Debbie was just a photographer for a boudoir session to me. Yet, as time unfolded, this stranger turned into a confidant and a true friend. Through shared laughter, shared struggles, and the quiet understanding that transcends words, we discovered the beauty of genuine friendship. It's awe-inspiring how someone who was once unknown can become an integral part of one's life, a friend who knows your heart and the melody of your soul ( and sometimes sees you half naked lol). In this unexpected journey, a stranger found a place in the chapters of my story, proving that friendships can bloom from the most unexpected seeds, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary bonds that withstand the tests of time.

My advice for future clients. Do it. Do it if you think you’re overweight. Do it if you think you aren’t pretty. Do it if you think you’re going to hate all of your pictures. Do it if you can’t afford it and have to do a payment plan. Do it for yourself. Do it to fall in love with yourself again.  Don’t be afraid to let Debbie take full creativity. I’ve walked in and let Debbie pick my outfits and sets. Trust her. Don’t have a preconceived notion of how your makeup needs to be. Take a leap of faith and trust it will be glamorous. Then, after your session and reveal, tell me how I was right and how much you love yourself again.
